Come to the Surface, embodies a flattened aesthetic that eliminates the psychological distance of perception. When we hold the headphones, they exist in three dimensions, but upon wearing them, the visual experience transitions to a two-dimensional plane. The design of the Surface headphones compresses the curves and graphic textures of 3D space into a 2D plane, creating a rich and varied visual tapestry upon closer inspection.
Structure
Is the earphones jack sturdy enough? It appears to be! This reflects the structural design of the Surface earphones. Beyond simply soldering the earphones socket to the crossover circuit board, additional reinforcements are implemented between the cavity and the cover plate. What looks like a decorative metal ring is, in fact, a crucial CNC-machined aluminum reinforcement piece, enhancing the overall durability.
Craftsmanship
The principle of simplifying complexity is evident in the craftsmanship of the Surface headphones. Inside the multi-driver headphones, there’s a web of intricate wiring and crossover components. These elements are arranged in a way that is both aesthetically pleasing and ensures production consistency, transforming disorder into a neatly organized structure.
Specially Developed Crossover Circuit Board
The design of the crossover has undergone extensive comparisons over time, particularly taking into account feedback from audio enthusiasts nationwide. This process has ensured that the final product meets high acoustic standards while also providing an enjoyable listening experience.
The front chamber of the earphones is shaped using 3D printing technology, featuring high-precision physical filtering sound conduits, speakers, and a crossover circuit board. All wiring from the speaker units converges at the back of the crossover circuit board for soldering, which helps to reduce electromagnetic interference signals introduced by the wires.
Dynamic Driver + Quad Balanced Armature
The Surface earphones utilize a physical three-way crossover structure. The speaker unit module has been optimized from various previous models by MOONDROP and incorporates ddHiFi’s tuning philosophy. Combined with the specially developed crossover circuit board, these features create a fresh auditory experience, with a balanced frequency distribution ensuring smooth transitions and solid, enjoyable mid-bass frequencies.
