  2. Sensitive personal information: personal information that, once leaked or illegally used, may easily lead to infringement of the personal dignity of a natural person or harm to personal or property safety.
  3. Anonymization: the process of processing personal information so that it cannot identify a specific natural person and cannot be restored.
  4. Unified account center: the account service system used by ddHiFi to provide unified registration, login, identity verification, authorized access, account profile management, account cancellation, and other functions. The current domain name is accounts.ddhifi.com.
  5. ddHiFi Link Android App: the Android product connection, PEQ configuration, firmware update, account login, feedback, and product support tool provided by ddHiFi.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to the personal information we collect and process when you access, register, log in, authorize, connect products, configure parameters, configure PEQ, update firmware, submit feedback, make inquiries, submit after-sales applications, manage account profiles, and conduct other activities through the ddHiFi Link Android App, ddHiFi official website, ddHiFi unified account center, after-sales service, product support portal, and ddHiFi-related business systems authorized to access the unified account center.

Please note that this Policy does not apply to:

  1. Information collected and processed independently by third-party websites, applications, or services;
  2. Information processed by third parties according to their own rules when you authorize, log in, or browse on a third-party platform;
  3. Circumstances otherwise provided by laws and regulations.

If a ddHiFi service has a separate privacy notice, personal information list, authorization prompt, or special rule, and its content is inconsistent with this Policy, the corresponding special rule shall prevail within the scope of that service. Matters not covered will still be governed by this Policy.

3. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

We will collect and use your personal information only for the purposes stated in this Policy and the Personal Information List and within the necessary scope. Without your consent or another basis under laws and regulations, we will not collect or use your personal information beyond the stated purposes.

(1) Account registration, login, and authorization

When you register, log in, or authorize use of a ddHiFi account, we may process account ID, username, nickname, avatar, email address, mobile phone number, password, access token, refresh token, login session, authorization code, SSO binding information, login ticket, state parameter, login IP, User-Agent, login time, login failure count, and other information for identity verification, maintaining login status, completing authorized access, preventing forged requests, protecting account security, and investigating abnormalities.

The ddHiFi Link Android App currently completes SSO login through the unified account center. The App opens the account center authorization page. After verification is completed by the account center, the login result is returned to the App according to the authorization process. The App stores the necessary login session locally in encrypted form and uses Android Keystore to protect the relevant information.

(2) Account profile and preferences

When you maintain your account profile or use the Service, we may process nickname, avatar, personal bio, birthday, title, identity type, language preference, region preference, binding status, and other information to display account profile, provide localized experience, distinguish service regions, identify accounts, and manage login methods.

(3) App local data and device configuration

To implement login, device control, PEQ configuration, firmware update, and localized experience, the ddHiFi Link Android App may save encrypted login sessions, language and region preferences, device operation settings, local PEQ files, downloaded files, and cached data locally on your device.

The current App explicitly uses network access and USB Host capability to connect to ddHiFi services and supported USB devices. Unless a specific version or page provides a separate clear prompt, the current App usually does not actively request or collect system permission data such as precise location, contacts, call records, SMS content, camera, microphone recording, or photo album.

(4) Product connection, PEQ configuration, and firmware updates

When you use the App to connect, identify, configure, or manage supported ddHiFi products, we may process USB authorization result, device connection status, product model, product name, firmware version, device configuration parameters, PEQ parameters, OTA configuration, firmware file URL, release notes, download status, upgrade result, error information, and other information to complete product connection, function configuration, firmware update, troubleshooting, compatibility optimization, and product support.

When you save, upload, download, comment on, favorite, or manage PEQ configurations, we may process configuration title, description, product model or product UUID, PEQ file content, file URL, configuration type, comments, ratings, favorites, download count, user nickname, avatar, user ID, operation IP, and other information.

(5) Feedback, after-sales service, and customer support

When you contact us through App feedback, official website, after-sales service system, product support portal, or customer service channels, we may process feedback content, contact details, account information, App version, phone manufacturer, phone model, Android system version, product model, order number, purchase proof, repair or warranty description, shipping address, and other information to handle feedback, after-sales service, warranty, repair, returns and exchanges, customer service, and dispute handling.

(6) Security, audit, and basic service operation

To protect account and system security, we may process IP address, User-Agent, access time, API path, error information, system operation logs, session information, refresh token hash, MFA login challenge, login failure count, temporary lock status, administrator login logs, abnormal login alerts, and other information for anti-abuse, credential-stuffing prevention, API attack prevention, security audit, troubleshooting, and stable service operation.

Only when SMS, email, human verification, or third-party account login is actually enabled in the account center, official website, after-sales system, or specific page will we process mobile phone number, email address, verification code, verification parameters, third-party platform user identifier, nickname, avatar, email address, authorization information, and other related information within the necessary scope. This statement does not mean that the ddHiFi Link Android App has currently directly integrated SMS, email, verification code, or third-party login SDKs.

4. How We Entrust Processing, Share, Transfer, and Publicly Disclose Your Personal Information

(1) Entrusted processing

To implement necessary functions of the Service, we may entrust service providers to process certain personal information, including but not limited to:

  3. Redis or cache services: used to save short-term data such as SSO state, App login tickets, MFA login challenges, login failure counts, temporary lock status, and OTA cache;
  4. Server, cloud infrastructure, or operations services: used for service deployment, logging, troubleshooting, security protection, and system monitoring;
  5. SMS, email, human verification, and other services used only when actually enabled: used for verification code sending, necessary service notifications, or security verification.

  4. We may provide information according to laws and regulations, administrative or judicial authority requirements, or to protect the personal and property safety and lawful rights and interests of us, users, and the public.

For specific third parties or recipients, use scenarios, and information scope, please refer to the Third-Party Information Sharing List.

(3) Transfer

If a merger, division, acquisition, asset transfer, business restructuring, bankruptcy liquidation, or similar transaction occurs and involves the transfer of personal information, we will require the new holder to continue to be bound by this Policy. If the purpose or method of personal information processing changes, your consent will be obtained again in accordance with law.

(4) Public disclosure

In principle, we will not publicly disclose your personal information. We may publicly disclose necessary information only after obtaining your separate consent, where you actively publish it, or where required by laws and regulations or administrative or judicial authorities.

Please note that PEQ configurations, comments, nicknames, avatars, or other visible content you actively publish may be viewed by other users within the scope of the corresponding function.

5. How We Store and Protect Your Personal Information

We will store your personal information for the shortest period necessary to achieve the purposes stated in this Policy, except where otherwise required by laws and regulations or where necessary for contract performance, dispute handling, security protection, regulatory cooperation, or protection of lawful rights and interests.

We take reasonable security measures to protect your personal information, including but not limited to access control, permission grading, encrypted transmission, token hash storage, login failure restrictions, MFA verification, log audit, system monitoring, and necessary organizational management measures. The login session of the ddHiFi Link Android App is stored locally in encrypted form and protected by Android Keystore.

The internet environment is not absolutely secure. If a personal information security incident occurs, we will take remedial measures in a timely manner according to laws and regulations, and where necessary, notify you in a reasonable manner of the incident, possible impact, measures taken or to be taken, recommendations for you to independently prevent and reduce risks, and contact information.

6. Your Rights

Within the scope provided by laws and regulations, you may exercise the following rights regarding your personal information:

If the request is complex, disputed, involves legal retention obligations, or identity verification has not been completed, the processing time may be appropriately extended.

Please understand that withdrawing consent, deleting information, or canceling an account may cause some functions to become unavailable. For example, after account deletion, you may no longer be able to use cloud PEQ, feedback record query, after-sales record query, device preference synchronization, account profile management, or other services that rely on a ddHiFi account.

7. Account Cancellation and Data Deletion

You may apply to delete your ddHiFi account and related data according to the Account and Data Deletion Instructions. After account deletion is completed, we will stop providing related account services for that account and delete or anonymize personal information that no longer has a lawful reason for retention.

The following data may be retained for the necessary period due to laws and regulations, transaction fulfillment, after-sales warranty, dispute handling, security audit, system backup, or other reasons:

  1. Records of after-sales service, repair, warranty, order fulfillment, or customer service;
  2. Logs, audit records, and security records required to be retained by law;
  3. Data that has been anonymized and cannot identify a specific individual;
  4. Information necessary to handle complaints, disputes, illegal or non-compliant conduct, or protect lawful rights and interests;
  5. Data in backup systems that has not yet reached the overwrite cycle.

You may also clear local cache or App data through App settings or system settings. Clearing local data is not the same as deleting the cloud account. Deleting the cloud account may also not automatically delete files already saved locally on your device. The actual handling result is subject to the App and system.

Our products and services are mainly intended for users with corresponding civil capacity. If you are a minor, you should use the Service with the consent and guidance of your parents or other guardians.
