The ddHiFi x Moondrop Memory 4.4 feels mature and exceptionally well tuned.
Its greatest strength is balance. The Moondrop produced 13mm planar driver delivers the speed and transparency expected of modern planar technology, while avoiding the sterile character often associated with high spec headphones. The Memory 4.4 produces music with natural timbre, convincing dynamics, and exceptional consistency, from the lowest bass notes to the highest treble harmonics.
Throughout my listening sessions, one feature consistently stood out above all else: This is an IEM that allows the listener to focus on the music. I think this is perhaps the greatest compliment any audio product can receive. That should be the primary goal.
The aluminum version will undoubtedly appeal to listeners who value absolute neutrality, speed, and precision. Acting almost like a compact studio monitor, it reveals every detail while maintaining perfect tonal balance.
The palladium version takes a slightly different approach. The added weight and subtly richer presentation of the copper body create a more organic and emotionally impactful experience. Notes are heard more intensely, vocals become even more realistic, and acoustic instruments gain an almost analog smoothness without sacrificing clarity.
I can’t objectively define either version as superior. While both models share the same exceptional engineering foundation, they cater to different listening preferences.
Few planar IEMs in this price range respond so consistently to source upgrades; making it an excellent long term investment for music lovers who frequently switch between portable players.”
