ddHiFi BC130C Eryx RhP Flagship Cable Review —— By audioreviews

Eryx Review Excerpt:

“ddHiFi Eryx Sound Quality and Pairing Notes

As with DAC-Amp reviews, I prefer to judge cables based on how they pair with individual or a select group of IEMs in my collection rather than going off about general sonic traits of the cable itself.

with Softears Turii Ti

Softears Turii Ti is the past flagship from the Shenzhen-based brand. It’s also an IEM that is extremely sensitive to cable swapping.

Compared to the stock Turii Ti cable, with Eryx the IEMs sound warmer and fuller in the mid-bass. The vocals are pulled a bit more up front so you get a more intimate presentation compared to the stock pure silver cables.

Imaging was unchanged, though staging was narrower than the stock silver cable. Finally, microdynamics were more pronounced which is a nice pace of change in my book.

with 64Audio Tia Trio

With the stock cable, 64Audio Tia Trio has a sub-bass focused bass response and forward upper-mids and lower-treble.

Once paired with the Eryx, Tia Trio has a more elevated mid-bass and slightly toned down sub-bass, while the lower-mids are filled out further. Mids in general sound great on the Tia Trio with this cable, though the bass and treble extension is not as dramatic as with some other aftermarket pairings.”
