Below are excerpts from the review:
“I have tested the Memory AL4.4 with my ddHiFi Eye3, TC44Grip and Qudelix-5K (with ddHiFi DJ44B 4.4mm to 2.5mm balanced adapter). The Memory AL4.4 presents a largely neutral profile with a subtle touch of warmth and upper midrange tilt.
Low frequencies are rendered with precision. Sub-bass reaches convincingly deep with a good sense of presence, while mid-bass remains controlled and avoids bleeding into the midrange, keeping the overall presentation clean and bloat-free.
Vocals and acoustic instruments have a close and intimate listening perspective that emphasizes nuance without introducing sharpness. Compared to the Memory Pd4.4, the AL4.4 has relatively more prominent upper midrange and, as result, female vocals have more energy, while the Pd4.4 is slightly warmer.
Treble is airy and open, without any sibilant or metallic edge. The upper range stays smooth and easy to listen to, even over longer sessions.
The staging benefits from the open nature of the design, with good sense of space and very clear imaging.”
