These instructions apply to the ddHiFi account system and related services that use this account system to log in or identify users, including but not limited to:

  1. ddHiFi Link Android App;
  2. ddHiFi unified account center: accounts.ddhifi.com;
  3. ddHiFi official website, product support portal, and statement pages;
  4. ddHiFi after-sales service system, product registration, warranty, and repair services;
  5. Other ddHiFi services that may be authorized by ddHiFi to access the unified account center in the future.

1. How to Request Deletion of Your ddHiFi Account

You may request deletion of your ddHiFi account and the data associated with that account by either of the following methods.

Method 1: Submit a deletion request through the account center

  1. Open the ddHiFi unified account center: https://accounts.ddhifi.com/login;
  2. Log in to the ddHiFi account you wish to delete;
  3. Go to the user center or account settings page;
  4. Select the entry for “account cancellation”, “delete account”, or an option with the same meaning;
  5. Follow the page prompts to complete identity verification by password, verification code, email, mobile phone number, or other reasonable means;
  6. Submit the account deletion request.

After submission, the account may enter a deletion cooling-off period. During the cooling-off period, you may revoke the deletion request according to the page prompts. After the cooling-off period expires and the deletion conditions are met, we will delete or anonymize your account and related data.

Method 2: Submit a deletion request by email

  1. The mobile phone number or email address bound to the ddHiFi account you wish to delete;
  2. The services you have used, such as the ddHiFi Link Android App, ddHiFi official website, product support portal, after-sales service system, product registration, or warranty service;
  3. A clear statement that you wish to delete the account and related data;
  4. An email address where we can contact you.

To protect account security, we may require you to complete necessary identity verification, such as confirmation through the mobile phone number or email address bound to the account, password verification, verification code, or other reasonable means to confirm that the request is initiated by the account holder. We will not directly delete the account before verification is completed.

2. Processing Time for Deletion Requests

We will generally complete review and reply with the processing result within 15 working days after receiving your deletion request. If the request is complex or involves after-sales disputes, order fulfillment, warranty records, legal compliance retention, security audit, incomplete identity verification, or system backup processing, the processing time may be appropriately extended. If an extension is required, we will notify you within a reasonable period.

After an account deletion request is submitted, the system may set a 7-day cooling-off period. During the cooling-off period, the account may be in a pending deletion status, and you may revoke the deletion request. After the cooling-off period expires and the deletion conditions are met, we will perform deletion or anonymization.

3. What Happens After Account Deletion

After account deletion is completed, you will no longer be able to use the ddHiFi account to log in to or access services that rely on that account, including but not limited to:

  1. ddHiFi unified account center;
  2. Functions in the ddHiFi Link Android App that require ddHiFi account login;
  3. Cloud PEQ configuration saving, deletion, comments, favorites, and device preference synchronization;
  4. Account association after App feedback submission and feedback record query;
  5. ddHiFi official website membership, account profile, or related login functions;
  6. Account login, after-sales application record query, product registration, or warranty data management in the ddHiFi after-sales service system;
  7. Other ddHiFi services authorized through the ddHiFi unified account center.

After account deletion is completed, the original account, login credentials, SSO binding relationships, third-party account binding relationships, and unified login authorizations generally cannot be restored. If you use ddHiFi services again later, you may need to register a new account.

4. Types of Data That Will Be Deleted or Anonymized

After account deletion is completed, we will delete or anonymize data related to that account that no longer has a lawful reason for retention, including but not limited to:

  1. Basic account profile: account ID, username, nickname, avatar, personal bio, birthday, title, identity type, region, language preference, etc.;
  2. Contact details: mobile phone number and email address bound to the account;
  3. Login credentials: password hash, login session, access token, refresh token, authorization code, App SSO login ticket, etc.;
  4. SSO or third-party account binding information: service provider identifier, platform user identifier, binding relationship, authorization status, binding time, etc.;
  5. ddHiFi Link Android App cloud account data: account login relationship, device preferences, device custom names, selected EQ, account profile synchronization records, account authorization status, etc.;
  6. User cloud PEQ data: cloud PEQ configurations, configuration files, titles, descriptions, favorite relationships, comments, or ratings created by the account, unless retention or anonymized display is required by law or for public display, dispute handling, security audit, or other reasons;
  7. App feedback account association information: feedback records, contact details, or device information directly associated with the account and no longer required to be retained;
  8. Non-essential account data in the unified account center, such as account status, login failure counts, temporary lock status, and terms acceptance records;
  9. Non-essential account operation records and system records.

5. Types of Data That May Be Retained and Retention Periods

After account deletion, the following data may continue to be retained for the necessary period due to legal and regulatory requirements, transaction fulfillment, after-sales warranty, dispute handling, security audit, system operation, or protection of lawful rights and interests:

  1. Records of after-sales service, repair, warranty, return and exchange, complaints, or dispute handling;
  2. Fulfilled or ongoing orders, invoices, payment results, logistics records, or customer service records;
  3. Logs, audit records, and security records required to be retained by laws and regulations;
  4. Security records necessary to prevent malicious registration, API abuse, account attacks, fraud, or illegal or non-compliant conduct;
  5. Data that has been anonymized and cannot identify a specific individual;
  6. Data in backup systems that has not yet reached the overwrite cycle.

We will not continue to use deleted account data for daily account services after account deletion. For data that must be retained by law or for reasonable purposes, we will endeavor to limit the access scope, retention period, and purposes of use.

6. Relationship with Local Data in the ddHiFi Link Android App

Deleting a ddHiFi account mainly handles cloud account and related service data and may not automatically delete data already saved locally on your phone. The ddHiFi Link Android App may locally save the following data:

  1. Encrypted login session and account profile cache;
  2. Language, region, and other local preferences;
  3. Device operation settings cache;
  4. Local PEQ configuration files;
  5. Downloaded PEQ files, firmware files, product images, manuals, or other cached data.

You may use the clear cache or clear data function in App settings, or clear App data through Android system settings. Clearing local data may delete local PEQ files, downloaded files, caches, and login status. Data that has not been saved to the cloud or does not support cloud recovery may not be recoverable after deletion.

Please note:

  1. Clearing App local data is not the same as canceling or deleting the cloud ddHiFi account;
  2. Deleting the cloud ddHiFi account may not automatically delete files already saved locally on your device;
  3. If you downloaded PEQ files, firmware files, or other files locally before deleting your account, you need to clean up local files yourself through the App or system.

7. Relationship with Cloud PEQ, Feedback, and Public Content

After account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your cloud PEQ configurations, comments, favorites, and feedback records to the extent that there is no longer a lawful reason for retention.

If your PEQ configurations, comments, or feedback content have already been accessed, downloaded, cited, or disputed by other users, or if retention is necessary to maintain service security, handle complaints, troubleshoot issues, or prove service conduct, we may retain corresponding records within the necessary scope, or retain non-account-identifying information such as configurations, comments, download counts, and ratings in anonymized form.

If you wish to delete specific cloud PEQ configurations or comments before deleting your account, we recommend that you first delete the corresponding content in the App or relevant page and then submit the account deletion request.

8. Relationship with After-Sales Service and Warranty Records

Account deletion will not automatically cancel after-sales, repair, warranty, return and exchange, complaint, or dispute records that have already been submitted, are being processed, or must be retained by law. To perform after-sales service, handle disputes, satisfy warranty or legal compliance requirements, we may continue to retain relevant information within the necessary period.

If you wish to delete or correct personal information in after-sales service records, you may submit a request to us through the contact information stated in these instructions. We will evaluate the request based on laws and regulations, service fulfillment, and warranty processing needs.

9. Relationship with Logs, Security Records, and Backups

To protect account and system security, we may retain login IP, User-Agent, access logs, error logs, session records, security audit records, MFA records, login failure records, temporary lock records, and other information for the necessary period.

Data in backup systems may not be deleted immediately after account deletion is completed, but will be deleted or anonymized within the backup overwrite, expiration, or cleanup cycle. During this period, we will not use backup data for daily account services.

10. Revoking a Deletion Request

If the system sets a deletion cooling-off period, you may revoke the deletion request during the cooling-off period according to the page prompts. After successful revocation, the account deletion process will be terminated and your account may continue to be used.

After the cooling-off period expires and the deletion process is completed, the account and related data generally cannot be restored.
