Below are excerpts from the review:
“Haptically, the cable is well constructed and pliable. Braiding minimizes the contact between the left and right wires and therefore minimizes interference between them.
The metallurgy is interesting in that the wires are made of high-purity silver, oxygen-free copper (OFC) and Ohno Continuous Cast (OCC) copper. OCC minimizes impurities and grain boundaries and is used as conductor for premium audio cables.
……
As to cables and sound. Yes, they play a role, everything in the chain does. Improperly shielded cables that pick up electromagnetic interference or radio frequencies typically muddle the sound and may take away from upper and lower extension. Wire structure and metallurgy influence sound, too. For example, as a testing hypothesis, copper tends to contribute to a smoother sound than “livelier” silver. Quod erat demonstrandum in each case.
Considering its specs, we principally expect the RC30B to contribute to a clear, transparent sound with good extension on both ends.”
